After finishing a shift at a convenience store, International student, Minh, is savagely beaten by a group of neo-Nazis, resulting in multiple very serious injuries. After a long recovery and a run-in with immigration authorities over his visa status, Minh overcomes everything -injuries, anxiety and an immigration system that has made an error - to achieve his professional goal, and secure employment and permanent resident status.
